i said i would never touch this page again and i meant it. the 98 and 99 pages are exactly as they were and they are staying that way. this one page is new. here is why.

the 4019 people emailed me. if you dont know who they are, they are the ones doing the recovery, the ones who got the press kit and put the reconstruction back up. i thought their email was a scam at first. they said they found a wallet. money. microsoft shares. sitting on an address that came out of the game's own files, and growing.

and i sat there for a long time because i remembered something.

in 97 on the boards there was a poster who kept saying the deadlink money never left. that when the game got pulled the money got pulled INTO it. "the shares are still in the build" he said. everyone laughed at him. i put it on my rumors page in early 98 and people laughed at ME, the eab guys mostly, and i deleted it. it is the ONLY thing i ever deleted off this site in twenty eight years. you can check the rumors page. it is not there. that is my fault and i have felt weird about it since.

now there is a thing called TELLER which the 4019 people say was listening on an address from the game's own destination list. it is a ledger. it lists microsoft shares and an address you can verify yourself and it says the operator authorised one withdrawal, to whoever finishes the game.

i am not telling you it is real. i told you the boot screen was real in 98 and spent a year being laughed at and then the photos matched the bios string. so this time i am just telling you what i remembered, and where the thing is, and you can do what i did: sit there for a long time.
